Beginning Middle End
One of my favorite films can be an example of the use of beginning middle end. Guardians of the Galaxy begins with introducing he main character which is Starlord. The movie begins with the character at a early age in order to create a undeserved misfortune event towards Starlord. Afterwards the beginning of the story continues with Starlord 26 years later where they show how his life had turned out. The middle of the story line would be when the Guardians of the Galaxy assemble and work together as a unit. Of course there is conflict within the group but in the end they resolve everything. The end of the movie circles around the idea to save the Galaxy from Ronan. As usual there a a major battle scene where the bad guys fight the good guys and of course the good guys win. This film make a great job creating a beginning middle end and filled it will so many creative aspects.
Superior Position
In every great film there is anticipation and with that everything seems incredible. The type anticipation I am talking about would be superior position where the audience is aware of some doing where the characters in the movie have no idea to what is happening. The most typical example to this technique in film making would be where the audience knows that the boy or girl is cheating on their partner but the actual person being cheated on has no idea. Superior position is shown is tons of movies but the one that stands out the most is White Chicks. All the characters in the movie are unaware that Britney and Tiffany are being played by two men Marcus and Kevin. For almost the entire movie the two men play the spoiled rich girls without blowing their cover as FBI but the audience is more than aware of what is happening and why it is happening. This type of superior position gives of a comedic tone to the movie which I feel is an impressive way to showcase such movie.

Undeserved Misfortune
Undeserved misfortune can do so much to an audience when watching a film because you grow attached to a character and tend to care for then in the film. A film with just that would be the movie Flipped. One of the main characters Julie is the innocent and the sweet girl crushing on Bryce a boy who in the end falls in love with Julie. As an audience you end up loving Julie and not so much liking Bryce. When Bryce hurts Julie's feelings even when she didn't deserve it makes you feel sorry for her. All Julie did was fall in love with Bryce only to be hurt by him. This can also be featured in real life where you have someone going about their normal day when they are hit by a car by a drunk driver. The person in the car dies and the person that was drunk lived. That itself is undeserved misfortune because the person that was simply driving didn't deserve to die for what the drunk driver had decided. This is definitely something I would enjoy to incorporate in my film. This would create a dramatic tone to the movie and would draw the audience to liking the film very much especially the idea of love and the drunk driver.
Conflict
The movie that I think has a mass amount of conflict is Moulin Rouge. One conflict is Satine and her illness. Her struggle to over come the sickness within her body and her fighting that to perform as she has always wanted. Another example of conflict in the movie Moulin Rouge is the Christian's forbidden love for satine which he fights with the Duke. Christian and the Duke both fight for the same woman but Satine settles the fighting with choosing Christian. Conflict in real life can be like a mother struggling to feed her family because she has no job and little money. The struggles in typical life are examples of conflict from having your tire pop while on the way to visit your mother or by having a midterm the next day and not understanding any part of the lessons from the past. The idea of having a sorrow tone into a film to me is a good idea. Such as having a mother struggle to support the family and having one day that everyone feels happy. Appealing to emotions can be a powerful thing. An emotional struggle can be a moving idea for a film.

My Film Job
The one job that I'm most interested in would be directing. I feel that I have an optimistic view towards certain potential scenes. Directing can seem to be challenging and quite stressful but that I think is the beauty of it. You put in so much work into a film and in the end you see the final product and that can be so rewarding. I have creative things which can be applied heavily onto directing and allow amazing ideas into spark. I like being in the main control of a film and how the final product comes out which I simply just love. I love watching movies and I can really see each director's unique style portrayed through the movie. It is an amazing perspective t o be behind the camera and make the movie the way you want it to come out. That power is what I love having and yes its a big responsibility but I feel that in the end it will result with wonders.

My Review of The Elephant Man
This film was definitely one of my favorites because the script and images were breathe taking. The way John Lynch send across his message on the film was quite unique especially the introduction with the birth of John Merrick. The images in the film were put together perfectly and each had a hidden message behind it. My favorite scene was when John Merrick finally had enough of the constant stares and curiosity and simply yelled "I am not an animal. I am a human being. I am a man." Those simple words took me away and made me emotional during the film because not only had he finally stood up to those who criticized him but also believed that he was no Elephant Man but a simple man. The film all together was a emotional journey for the the characters in the film and even the audience. After the film the thing that I took from it was to appreciate what we have and help those in need because they can be the reason your entire life flips completely.

My Name is John Merrick
Today the steam boat had arrived in London and I couldn't have felt more at home. All I wanted to do is go see Dr. Treves and be safe. As I left the boat into the area of the station I was bothered by children and was soon followed by an entire crowd of men. I ran for my life for I did not want to be seen as a monster. I had never ran as fast as that date, I still felt out of place and unwelcome but knew the ignorance of the men. As they crowed around me staring at my face with amazement and confusion I could handle their tormenting eyes and yelled at the top of my lungs that I was not an animal and that I was a human being. I was a man. At that moment I meant what I said and felt the confidence to say what I felt. Dr. Treves had made me feel and experience things that I would had never felt by myself. As the police came, they returned me to the hospital and Dr. Treves ran towards me welcoming back with love. LOVE. I felt it as he hugged me with such warmth. No one has ever been so happy to see me in my entire life. As I struggled to keep my breathing under control I embraced the emotion of the moment and took that to make my life more worth living. I was sent back into my room and I felt right at home and comfortable of who I was, no longer was I afraid of those around me and neither am I afraid of myself.

Welcome to my Nightmare . . . WAHAHAHA!
I usually don't remember any of my dreams but I definitely remember one of my re-occuring nightmares. I have the fear of being severely hurt. I once had a nightmare that I was being followed everywhere I went. While I was asleep this man came into my house and murdered my family except me. Once I woke up I discovered my family's death and was completely freaked out and sooner or later the murder came out of the closet and was wearing a frightening mask that seemed like human skin. He chased me around the house which seemed to be a different house than mine because the house in my dream was much larger. Being extremely scared I screamed and screamed to the top of my lungs and the murderer came towards me as he tried to slice me to pieces. After that, somehow my boyfriend came out of nowhere and tried being the hero, but only ended up getting stabbed multiple times. This was probably the most vivid dream I had have and was the most terrifying because I was being chased and I can feel the fright after I woke up from the nightmare. I was afraid of being stabbed and gushing out blood which is one of my worst fears. I think that this fear has only made me more careful in situations that can go severely bad.

Compassionate Science
While I was attending my summer camp of Math and Science called SMASH, I gain the knowledge of how engineering is everything that makes a life easy. I realized that a Chemical Engineer helps the world in a more environmental aspect. You deal with world problems using chemistry, which fascinates me and intrigues me. I want to make the world a different place than what it is today and improve beyond that. I want to provide clean water in many areas of the world that do not attain that safe source of water. I want to use my knowledge of chemical engineering to create safe ways to attain resources in places that are not easy to get. When I receive that knowledge of engineering I would want to create something to help those in need of any aspect of their life. I don't just want to make a difference in the U.S. but also impact around the world. There are endless possibilities in helping today's world through science, we just need to be inspired to do so.

The Future
I feel that the future will offer more than today but at the same time offer less. In 75 years I think we will abuse today's resources and end up leaving planet earth due to its condition. I think the future holds a new home for our children. Today you hear about global warming getting worse and ocean levels rising and natural disasters occurring more often due to climate change. It is only a matter of time when we completely waste out the planet earth. Of course I think that technology will improve and solve many of our daily problems but not so sure about our long-term problems. I haven't heard much about those plans and solutions. I do believe that we will find a cure for many of incurable diseases today. In the future I also believe that we will depend on technology for every single thing in our lives. As we do today we depend on many technological appliances but to an extent. The future might offer wonders to everyone's life but fails to provide long term plans and when more people begin to notice these problems it would be too late. We would be too busy on our new floating houses and our mini robots doing all our work for us to even think of the consequences.

One of Many Funny Memories
I tend to laugh at mostly everything but I think the one time that I couldn't stop laughing would be when I attended Skatie Hawkins this year in February. I went with my boyfriend, my best friend went with her boyfriend and my other best friend went with her boyfriend. We at the very beginning were the first one there at the event which was very cool and nice. My boyfriend and I not knowing so much about skating took it slow and steady and so did my best friend and her boyfriend. My best friend Caroline was basically a professional at skating and was going around the rink 50 times while everyone else was on their first lap around. Somehow she was racing her boyfriend and ended up crashing into my other best friend's (Erika) boyfriend Brandon which was the most funniest thing I've ever seen. Brandon flew across the rink and fell nasty on the ground and it seemed as if it didn't because he was laughing. His laughing made everyone laugh and simply crack up because Caroline in the end felt so bad and Brandon was messing with her making her feel bad but just joking around. 'Till this day we laugh and joke around that day because it was just so funny seeing everyone fall and making others fall.

Modern Times
I didn't expect to really enjoy the film Modern Times because first of all it was a silent film and second of all it was in black and white. After learning about the life of Charlie Chaplin, I realized why he produced, wrote, and directed these films. The meanings behind every single part of the movie had an even more greater meaning to it. The entire movie contained metaphors that was part of an even greater metaphor on the future and the misery of people then and later in the future. I really enjoyed the scenes where Chaplin was a factory worker because it portrayed such an significant lesson that revealed itself as being eaten alive by the machine and spit back out only to become crazy. It was amazing that way Chaplin played out this movie in such a sophisticated and yet hysterical way. Chaplin managed to cover up what he really wanted to say through comedy and a simple image or scene in the background which I found to be genius and clever. I especially loved how he would simply have the amass energy to perform through out the movie. My breath was taken away when Chaplin began to sing in a sort of French or Italian language which fascinated me on how he managed to do such an amazing talent. Full of talents Charlie Chaplin was an incredible person in every way possible.

Bullying
I don't fully understand why people bully because it seems so unnecessary to this world we live in. Once when I was walking home from school with my friend I witness an encounter of 4 South Regional School students that were messing around with a small kid. At first it didn't seem much because the other 4 were laughing and what seemed playing around. It's all fun and games until someone gets seriously hurt. The small kid fell to the ground and none of the other boys seemed to be concerned or helped. Instead the other boys continued to laugh and push him and one kid even sat on top of him. The poor little boy was screaming stop and the other boys didn't even stop to think of what they were doing. My instinct was to immediately stop the boys and ask them to stop but I ended up pushing the boy off the one on the floor. I told them why they were physically bullying the poor kid and they simply said that they were just messing with him to me it wasn't right. I went off on them ranting how immature and dangerous bullying can be. I do not know why these kids bully in the form that they think is alright. Children should be knowledgeable of what is right and wrong at a early age to prevent such incidents to happen. Maybe a child bullies because they themselves are bully or simply have anger issues. Whatever the case may be bullying should not exist in any part of any community.

My Favorite Movie
I have a variety of movies that I just love but I think that one of my top favorites would be St. Elmo's Fire. The entire movie is filled with twists and turns that just take you to places that are unbelievable. This movie makes you feel every possible emotion from angry, happy, and to tearful. Each character has their own personality which is simply amazing and never boring. The movie is based on a group of friends of 6 that go through life after college and face the struggles life. With every issue each character has amazingly connects to either each other or the past. The movie in general is a drama because so much is going on that its almost enough to keep up with. Since St. Elmo's Fire was made in the 80's I love it even more because many of my favorite actors star in the film. I've probably watch this movie a million times and basically know the lines of all my favorite scenes.
